  • Referendum Volunteers are still needed

Referendum Volunteers are still needed to help distribute yard signs throughout the district at intersections and along major roadways. If you can help put up signs this week, please pick up yard signs at 700 E. Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights (Not the same address in Palatine) on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4-6pm. This is the an important part of the referendum campaign and is crucial to Harper's future funding. A small investment of your time this week can play big roles in all of our professional futures.

Because of the focus on distributing yard signs, THERE WILL BE NO PHONE CALLS THIS WEEK. We will not be making phone calls on Tuesday evening to residents of the district.

If you will be picking up yard signs to distribute, please let Maria Coons know. You can email her at or text her at 847.220.5680. Any amount of help is appreciated - even if you put up a few signs on your way home from Harper.

  • Volunteers Needed!!

UPDATED: The referendum is critical to Harper's funding for the next 10 years.

In addition to the phone calls on Tuesday nights, we are asking for volunteers to distribute yard signs and literature at the train stations. There is a schedule attached below (or link here). Anyone who is willing to volunteer should contact Maria Coons. Her email is or text her at 847.220.5680. Any amount of help is appreciated.

We will be calling people in the District who have indicated support for the referendum from 4:30-7:30pm on Tuesdays (10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30). These are not random cold calls, but rather people who our consultants have identified as people in our district who support Harper College and its mission. You do not have to be there for the entire 3 hours, but please consider finding a couple of hours to volunteer next month.

The success of the referendum is critical to the financial stability of Harper College.

Please volunteer and bring a friend!
