On Sat., Oct. 16 ten Harper DMS students attended the annual Rush Medical Center Ultrasound Symposium along with their instructor, Steve Crow. The day consisted of a variety of topics which included Twin Pregnancies, Carotid Doppler Ultrasounds, Pediatric Patient Care in Radiology, Fetal Heart Sonography and a cardiovascular physician’s story on his visit to Haiti to help the earthquake victims. It was a great day filled with a lot of new information for the students. This educational event also gave them the opportunity to meet many sonographers that work in the hospitals in the Chicago area, some of whom they may end up doing their clinical rotations with this coming spring.
