I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 12:28 PM.
II. President’s Report
· Michael attended the IFT Constituency Council and Academic Labor Council meetings last week.
· The data for the Vice President and Dean evaluations have been processed.
· The IFT’s position on a proposed constitutional convention was discussed.
III. Officers’ Reports
· Dave Richmond reported that Local 1600-wide elections will take place March 3-5. Our chapter elections would be held at the same time.
· Dave reported that he met with Marge Skold and Joan Kindle concerning the roles of the Associate and Assistant Deans. They reaffirmedthat faculty report to Deans and not to these other administrators, but it is also understood that Assistant and Associate Deans frequently run programs.
· Dave Richmond and Tom Dowd met with Breuder for a general discussion. In the course of that conversation, Breuder re-emphasized that he will be leaving in 2009.

IV. Old Business
· Tom Dowd reported on the Contract Promotions Committee’s work in revising the promotions process. The Committee has met with the faculty who have applied this year, and more meetings with them and other relevant groups are scheduled.
· Paul Holdaway reported on the ongoing RIF process,
· The effect of reorganization upon the Senate structure and documents was discussed.
VI. New Business
· It was reported that the Institutional Planning Committee is continuing to review the faculty climate study data. Sheila Quirk has indicated that she feels the data should be removed from the SWOTs.
· It was noted that the College master plan is currently being updated without faculty input.
· Kim Fournier provided an update on the intellectual property policy discussions.
· It was noted that the administration is establishing a requirement that those serving on search committees must undergo diversity training. Dave Richmond indicated that we will be discussing this with Marge Skold.
· The Technology Planning Committee is soliciting input on the technology plan from all interested staff through the MyHarper portal.
VII. Adjournment
Carole Bomba moved for adjournment; Kathi Nevels seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 1:34 PM.
